What Car Would You Get?
Its funny, you come to a lancer forum to ask if you should get a lancer or another car, haha of course everyone will say lancer!
** not bashing you **
I bet if you went to the camaro forums they would say camaro, so your prob at a mute point im guessing.
Well, alot of this has already been mentioned, but im going to do it again.
When i was looking for a car recenlty about a year ago, i wanted a Camaro as well. I soon learned they cost way too much money to keep up and maintain, especially if you live where it snows or you get a lot of rain.
My friend who has a camaro, has crashed it 3 times, 2 because of snow and 3rd because he had a fast*er* car and wanted to be a **** about it.
If you are under 21, definatly stick with the lancer. Your insurance will be much much lower, and your gas money well, wont be wasted as fast.
Overal, i love a camaro and think there really nice, but u just have to think of the whole picture and what is "economicaly" right for you at this time in your life.
Hope this helps, and hope to see you in a 2003 lancer very soon, haha
Later.

Get the Camaro.
In a few weeks, months, or a year or two, you will appreciate how far technology in automobiles has come in a decade and a half. I don't care if you get Lancer or not, but back in the 80's, GM had some build quality issues. Try a Lancer, Focus, Civic, Impreza, Mazda 3, or Corolla. Then tell me if you still like the MINT Camaro that will cost you a mint to insure, gas, and maintain.
My worthless 0.02's.

sorry just thought that was funny, but back to the post...if i were you, i'd go with the lancer...the camaro's still a sick car and i'd love to have an old chevelle myself...but for a first car i'd think the lancer is more reliable and easier to take care of if something happened to it...it's still under warranty, etc....go with the lance

I actually thought this was a joke poll at first. GM cars from the 80's are among the worst quality cars made in automotive history. It's not a good buy in any condition or at any price....that includes free.
