I am looking at various options for a fun reliable daily driver. I prefer imports over domester..

What would be a fun daily driver Forced Induction Set up for a 8th gen si stock motor...I don't plan on building the motor until it dies...

My goal is to make around 250 to 300 torque and somewhere around 350 to 380whp..I would prefer somewhat of a flatter torque curve.

My biggest concern is wheels spin and traction issues...I would like to be able to use all of the power effectively...

Turbos I have been looking into are:
1) GTX2867R
2) gt3071r

What 1/4 mile times should I expect on good performance summer tires with the power goals above?

I would like the car to be able to handle some 1/4 rips down the track as well as be able to do a few laps around the circuit...

A bit off topic, but would a Evo 8 or Evo 9 be better suited for me?

If I mod a civic and put forced induction on it, I believe I will be approaching the same cost as a second hand Evo 8 or Evo 9? correct me if I am wrong..

My budget is approximately $15,000 $20,000 which will include the cost of the civic + mods for the civic...
Hoping to purchase the 8th gen civic for around $8000 to $10000...

Main goal is reliability, since this car will have to get me to work everyday =)

Thats why I asked if it would be a better idea just to get an Evo 8 or Evo 9...

But I am just not sure about the difficulties involved with importing this car from the US to Canada....

I have also been looking into various supercharger setups for the k20...They seem to be pretty reliable and make decent power...

Maybe I should lower my whp expectations for the civic...

I think the compression in the 8th gen is high 11-1. Not ideal for turbo boost, Supercharger might be better

there are plenty of stock k20 engines running 350 to 380whp daily and reliably... over 400whp then thats starting to push the structural capabilities of the block...

Agreed with previous post, I would look into getting a supercharger. The extra torque/response will be great for DD, and reliabiloty should not be an issue.

Never said it was not possible, fact is it is a high compression engine. I did not question the structural integrity of the engine. The better FI system for this car would be the SC route great tq and a with very broad power delivery. 400whp would be great but its a DD and all that power would be useless in 1,2 and 3 gear. numbers don't mean everything.
Adding please define plenty 10-20-1000 cars? how many of that plenty are DD? How many of those plenty have no piston work done? or are running low boost? How many of those plenty have had issue's?

The Civic will meet your goals and do so reliably. Probably looking at about 13 seconds flat with street tires unfortunately.

The Evo will exceed your needs, run about 12 seconds flat at the same horsepower, and be just as reliable. It will cost a good bit more up front.
