Other Brands' future Compact SUVs

Lexus LF-NX concept (CUV)

Not much info given yet..
Front looks okay, I guess. But,...

LINK

The profile and rearend looks absolutely Hideous! Like their designers ran out of ideas.. decided to cringle up the paper they had their lineart/sketches on and this is what resulted. None of the signature lines on the front matches the rear - just heinous!

maybe.. Unfortunately More ground clearance will NOT fix its ugliness.

PS:
And, you didn't like our jello-soft front bumper on the O.sports... Just imagine how mushy this Lexus "all grill" bumper is going to be!

Nothing flows. I don't really dislike it, but I don't really like it if that makes any sense. Pretty neutral, and it looks better than a bunch of current production CUV/SUV's.

I like the aggressive sharp angles, but then again I'm the same person who liked the unique look of the Juke and actually bought one lol.

Lets not forget the upcoming Honda Urban, which will be based on the Fit's platform. The plant that will build these comes online in the Spring of 2014 in Mexico. I bet we will see the next gen Fit before we see the Urban, so possibly in late 2014 as a 2015 MY vehicle.

Really, the Outlander Sport and the Subaru Crosstrek XV are really unique in that they are the only compact CUV's that are built on compact car platforms. The Buick Encore is based on a Chevy Sonic, a subcompact, and Ford's EcoSport is based on a Fiesta, another subcompact. It's also been rumored that Ford is heavily considering bringing that EcoSport to the United States, as sales in the Compact CUV segment keep steadily growing.

Honda and Toyota should have never abandoned this market.
