El guapo - Stinger AWD tested!

I'm wanting to love it. However, wheels and tires are too big - too much unsprung weight, I'd want a manual transmission option, this adjustable AWD system scares me and no mention of what the seating is in this article. Having ridden in Recaro seats for 14 years I'm spoiled.

As tested at $52,595....
I'd much rather get an Infiniti Q50 Red Sport.

Went to a dealership in LA and test drove a GT model TTV6 RWD with the LSD. I must say I was impressed. Has some weight but was very settled on the freeway. Power is available almost offline and grunts well in the mid range. No lag that I noticed.
Was strange because it felt like it pulled as hard if not harder then my stock IX RS. 8-speed shifts quick all though not a dual clutch trans. Not quirky like some dual clutch cars off the line since it uses a torque converter. Firm ride but compliant. Cornered with descent grip when accessed on public traveled roads. Good brake feel.
I am 6 ft 2 in. and headroom was restricted in a sun roof vehicle. Sans sun roof had a good hand plus clearance. Visibility out the back window is difficult. Blind spot monitor option would be a plus. Was fun driving a RWD car again. Loaded this car is 50K with AWD. Car I drove had tech pkg with LSD. MSRP was $43,445.I could have had it for ~ $35K 3 year leased $425 which isn't too bad with incentives (vet discount and KIA lease program)...... but I flaked.
I get weird about debut cars ......like Ford Focus RS .... although I am impressed on what KIA did with the Stinger debut. I really liked the car in person. Maybe next year.
This car kinda fits my sporty sedan plight that is not a euro sedan. I will just keep looking for a nice low miles 2015 > ISF
