My X MR is stock. You make a fair point, but adding "modability" as another dimension to the debate would make this an even less straight forward comparison.

Cobb must have a relationship with Ford because it's VERY well defined and some of the tables have names that nobody but the actual engineers at Ford would have named that way.

BTW, Cobb has an RS now so it's only a matter of time...

Here is a log from my Fiesta ST a long time ago, showing the reactive ignition and fueling strategy, if you are interested:

Thats not a bad price at all considering. Thx for the info

Almost identical results. Which makes sense with both car's dynoing at ~250whp. stock. One would expect better results from the RS if the claimed 50hp. advantage of the RS was a reality.
I was bewildered by the C & D result months back. Is it being hashed again?
I think Razor has some good observations about early "X" proms and how much improvement was made to performance afterwards. This RS has hardly gotten off the ground yet.

The results of two vehicles with essentially the same weight going the same MPH in the 1/4 casts doubt on Fords proclamation of even 340 HP, let alone 350. I trust the Suby rating allot more then Fords right now.

Amazing that this thread doesn't die. I'm sure the tuning will be sorted. What I'm interested in seeing is what the motor and drivetrain can handle. Would be great if someone would disassemble a motor like what AMS did with the Evo 10.

As an FYI, The Focus ST with the same RS2 package as the RS Noize drove has the same refinement.

I'm still surprised how refined my Fiesta ST feels for being such a cheap car. It feels very euro in that regard. The Focus with the RS2 package takes it even higher. Mitsubishi could learn a thing or two for sure.

btw, the Recaros in the USDM Fiesta ST, Focus ST and Focus RS are exactly the same seats with slightly different covers.

The RS sounds interesting from the standpoint that my wife won't go in my Evo any more not so much because its any more raw than it ever was but because her expectations for refinement have increased. However, I still want the 500+ whp of my Evo, so I'll wait and see much power these things can withstand. Maybe MY17...

My gut says there's not that much overhead built in, but that's where aftermarket steps in. Down side is it will take time.

I was able to extract 95wtq/46whp from my Fiesta ST with just a tune and E40 fuel, with a 1.6L and a stock turbo the size of my fist... so.... I might have to disagree with you.

In "overhead" I'm not talking about the power gained from a tune, I'm talking about the drive train reliability taking repeated abuse of doubling the stock power as Mychailo wants. Even the CT9A doesn't pass that test with the front diff and t-case shimming.

The question is, how much will be needed from the aftermarket to make that work.
