The price of used Maserati GranTurismo's these days...
Guys just look at this PRICE^^.Attachment 325331 Feeling a little lifestyle inflation or midlife crisis? Dealers now want to sell you these Maserati's that young ladies absolutely love for the price of Subaru's.
And there are so many of them sitting in dealer lots like this one in Cali:
I'm in love.Attachment 325331

That's the problem. Exotic cars are made in small numbers. Parts are ultra expensive. Some of these very fine cars sell for little now. You buy one and drive it until something breaks and then send it to the crusher.
Any Northstar Cadillac would be another example of a car you buy for little and drive to the crusher.

I never got the hype behind this car, everyone says its all beautiful and crap... but to me, 3 things completely ruin the car for me. the wheel gap (red line), the flat part of the fenders (green line), and the retarded wheel offset with them sitting way inside the fenders (see pics above). these 3 things have no place in a 100k+ "status" car. just make the car look cheap and stupid. yes I know you can fix 2 of these thing with aftermarket wheels and lowering it, but you shouldn't have to with a car like this
the wound awesome though, I'll give them that...

To fix these cars, you need some ingenuity just like how we fix Evo's with Hyundai pulleys, zipties, fabricated cans, and relocation kits. Fluid leaking? Fabricate a 316-steel replacement and install silicon hoses. Trims falling off? Glue that sonnamabirch. Navigation gives up? Replace with an aftermarket unit. Drivetrain goes south? Just swap a crate dry-sump LT1 (or RB26DETT if you feel a little JDM) and good news it's working again.

They're cheap because they are notorious problem children.
