I'm doing some research for a friend who's getting a 2002 Galant ES. He's mostly looking for show parts, but I think I can talk him into a little bolt-on tuning.

Trying to introduce someone else to simple tuning...fun!

 

For performance, he can look into 3G engine upgrade since they use the same 4G64 2.4L engine.

For cosmetic parts, I like the JDM VR4 look

the GTZ is an awesome car.. Bmw front/ Merc back.

Eh...nope. It's a used 2002. Money is the deciding factor here. The car isn't changing.

 

How much mod $$ he wants to spend and show/go which is more important to him?

 

Show's more important to him. He doesn't have a lot to spend, but I'm sure he'll save if he wants parts badly enough. If I get him past intake/exhaust on the performance end then I'll consider myself as having done a good job.
