If you buy one forget about any mods on a 5 speed auto, their trannys are hella weak.

I almost traded my car in, I hate honda's but I fell in love with the TL... Only thing holding me back is the price difference from my car now and the OTD price of a TL

if I recall, the acura TL is a 6 cylinder VTEC engine .. so right there we are comparing a turbo 4 banger (evo) to a V-6 .. and the evo is an awd, whereas the TL is a FWD

(someone please correct me if i'm wrong)

personally, i see 2wd vs awd as different classes .. but the TL is a nice car IMO. I wouldn't want one, as i see it more as something my mom would drive.

edit: i guess its all about what you wanna do with the car. the tl is a nice ride!

just a side note... 270hp 6 speed, with brembo's up front... plus voice activated and Navi... man thats perfect for a family man or someone looking to just go from point A to point B and look good doing it...

no doubt it is a nice car but not really in the same class as an Evo

they are definitely upping the ante on features

don't know if i could ever go back to FWD though

Problem with the TL is to much HP and weight on those front wheels.

idk .. i guess cause its 271 horses riding on it .. haha

i think ppl who arent tech savvy or know much about cars would see the two as in the same class ... the way i see it .. 27o horses with 4 doors ... a same general look ... i mean they up in the same class i would think...

i would take a TL prolly bc of the luxary of it ...but i would want the Evo cause the styling is more to my appeal .. maybe the TL is more like a younger version for those who want a CTS ...

TL is super nice, but its something I want when im like 40... The evo is much more enjoyable..no AWD launching and the cornering won't compare

The TL is a nice car if your older; and want that refined luxury. THe Evo is for us gearheads that like the cones and can drive normal speed in the winter.

I don't understand why the 2 cars should even be compared against?? A TL is more about luxury than performance, whereas the EVO is all about performance but lacks luxury. Anyone care to compare the EVO against the uuhh let's see.....how about a hummer??!! OK, maybe not to that extreme. But still, apple vs orange in my opinion.

The TL is a great car, but from experience and as any previous fwd owner who made power will tell you, its hard to put power down. Even with the stock 270 you will a bit disapointed at how much you spin. FWD = wrong wheel drive.

i sat in a TL and thought is was junk. The materials (plastic) was very cheap. The evo had better quality materials. It is true that the TL is more luxurious but not a good car though. I saw a brand new one and I know it was new because he had paper plates with the hood up on the side of a major highway. I don't think he pulled over to make a phone call. The styling is right up there with the new weird BMW, Cadillac, and even Mitsubishi [galant and front grille for rest of lineup].

If I wanted a luxury car, I would've gotten another Audi, not a redesigned Accord.
