That's pretty cool, I've got a lot of respect for the SRT-4: Just like the Evo it's a huge overachiever, especially for the $$. It does seem, though, that this car is sacrificing a great deal of it's "daily driveability" to hit high 11s, though. It's 500lbs lighter than stock... can it turn when you floor it? What else has been taken out besides all the seats and the hood/trunk? I guess I'll have to wait for Nov. SCC mag...

Ever see what happens to carbon fiber if the car gets hit? POOF! carbon dust everywhere. I saw a focus with a CF hood rear end someone while trying to race me..The hood was gone, just shards here and there.
I would assume that those doors would do about the same thing. They may be thicker than the hood, but a 3000 pound hunk of metal smashing into them will end with the same results..
Fast car = death trap

For the car? Who knows. A lot.

The car is simply a test bed vehicle for Mopar peformance products and to showoff the capabilities of the car.

Oh and their not going to release any of those CF pieces anytime soon. They were hand fabbed in house using OEM DaimlerChrysler equipment specifically for this car. These pieces cost BANK$$$.

I always thought drag strips do not allow cars to run with shaved handles

Heard it's a safety issue just incase you catch on fire or crash and they need to extract you.

to me(notice i said to me)...the SRT4 is a great car...but...it hasnt really shown or proved anything to me...i mean an 11 second car is really great dont get me wrong...but to take a tc'd platform car and all the upgrades you do to it would just make it faster at the track(1/4) then i dunno...what he shaved 3 seconds off of stock times?...makes miracles happen like...RRM who took a mid 17 second non turbo car and turned it into a sub 13sec car...which in soon gonna be hitting mid 12's to high 11's which is exactly what the neon is doin...now that i consider pretty damn good...thats why to me it kinda funny that srt guys brag about having a stage 2 and hitting high 12's to mid 13's...the car came with a turbo...whats the fun in it?

In regards to what...the motor? Yeah right.

The srt motor can take 450-500 hp easy. Putting that to the ground is another story.

AWD must be nice huh?

people wondering if it turns, It pulled 1.01g on a 200ft skid pad - I think. Pushed through the slalom very well too!

These awesome numbers don't come cheap -

That's nice. I love my car in a straight line but the corners I hate it. with stock suspension it sucks.

You guys have to be the most Un Cocky SRT-4 owners i've ever seen. Nice cars, but i've always been partial to AWD, ever since the 1st gen GSX.

i give all of you credit (lot harder to pull those times in a FWD car)

Cool car, but I could car less what it does stripped. I've always been more interested in what a full weight street car will run.
