I have sold one car so far with the sports package and the guy has other cars to drive as well which wouldn't be to bad since it has a stiff ride.

I prefer not to reveal too muchinformation for personal reasons. The star shield was a definate option. These cars chip easily, and it was worth the money. My guess about other cars is as good as yours. Dealerships have to communicate with Lotus USA, who communicated to England. there was supposed to be a computer system for VIN numbers but I don't think that that has materialized yet

We ordered every car with Star Shield. Did you have to pay the increase in MSRP?

I saw a few of the new Elises down here in SA almost a month ago now. The dealership is right down the street from me on Broadway. I get to look at them everyday, or at least everyday they put them out. They had a yellow one and a black one out last week. They look great. I wish I could afford one now. Maybe in the future. Anyways the car looks great. Thanks for sharing the pix.

why would you want an engine swap, especially a type R engine? the stock usdm engine (195hp toyota), the most powerful ever offered in this car, is basically identical in output to the honda.

In order to get any top do you have to order the hardtop option? Did you you order the "touring pack" or the "sports pack". Any other options added?

Thanks!
