As if the Hummer wasn't enough...

This is probably old news but I just heard about this monstrosity, the International 7300 CXT.

http://www.internationaldelivers.com...severe/cxt.asp

From the brochure:

- 10" frame rail is both lightweight and strong.
The International 7300 CXT has a gross vehicle
weight of 25,999 lbs and can haul a 12,000-lb
payload.

The best part is in the brochure International's slogan is "The Brilliance Of Common Sense".

... And their target market are women with a height of less than 5 feet, weighing under 100lbs, enjoy conversation (on the phone, while driving), manicures (while driving), and who safely drive 15mph under the speed limit (while in the left-most lane)

Actually the target is rich guys with big boats, horse trailers, and way more money than they know what to do with. ;)

Edit: Also, it's a great tool for a small business. You can't buy advertising to match the attention you get in this thing - you should see the people turn and point and gawk when you're cruising around town. It's funny as hell.

It shouldn't have been axed in the first place. The emissions on the 392 V8 were horrible and Harvester thought it would cost too much to revise the motor. The company would be in much better shape and still selling loads of them (having a 15 year head start on Jeep in the SUV thing).

they're also so simple to work on. My friend Jay goes off roading in his scout all the time (well, when it was running). He's broke many a steering arm while offroading, so he just carries an extra in the back now

I've been trying to get a ride and drive in a long wheelbase ladder truck (with all wheel steering) to no avail... Fire trucks rule :)
