honda's keeping up with fast cars?
why do i always see honda's keeping up with fast cars. are these drop engines or just really suped up? honda's pushing 400hp and more?
they do engine swaps into cars that weigh about as much as a soda can. add turbo kits, bored out heads, ITB's, etc. alot of HP but not alot of TQ
reason being is the power to weight ratio is crazy in those honda's
It's all about power to weight ratio. The new Ariel Atom can run 0-60 in under 3 seconds and only has 300 hp.
a stock honda has like 127 hp right (minus the Si), that's only seven more hp than a lancer. Ur saying the 400+ hp honda's are those that have engine drops?
You mean this, right:
http://www.lerepairedesmotards.com/i...000rr_cote.jpg Just kidding... there are a bunch of lightweight, super quick civics and crxs out there. Don't discount every honda you see as strictly a ricer... some of the can really move! |

Oh man...you gotta watch Top Gear. Ariel Atom = A Rocketship. Don't be fooled into thinking it's a car.
haha.. damn.. learn something new everyday

yea, one of my closest friends has a 96 civic with a b18c swap. hasnt been tuned yet. ive done a 3rd gear pull and he gets out about 5-6 lengths on me. im guessing its running a mid-high 11 NA. the motor is built for a turbo wich is going on in a few weeks. should be running a mid 10. this car is also fully built with about $35,000.00 into it just in performance work alone.
im not one of those people that hates on something just because of the make/model of the car. i treat them all with the same respect wether its a honda civic or a ferrari. |
their is a shop in the chicagoland area working on a 4g63 AWD civic hatchback...i saw it with my own eyes. that will be the stupidest fastest thing on the road
I thought the 4G63 Civic trend was over. That's so '96.
omfg that thing has to be a monster
Is that that Dominican one? If so, I've heard they still don't have 1/4 mile times because it breaks something every run.
