in a few years...chinese car makers like geely will be coming to north america and will be selling cars for around 10K and maybe even under...i think i would buy one...for an extra car if they are that cheap or maybe a winter car...im guessing they will be how hyundai excels first came

they look pretty ok and im sure performance will be okay

Me personally? Never. I could care less how cheap it is, or how much they develop over the years. There is a great crash test video of a chinese car floating around out there. I should say horrible video, as they are death traps. There are more than a few other reasons, not the least of which is China's trade tactics and policies. Why support them in another venture that exploits cheap labor and materials at the expense of fair trade. No thanks.

i hate how they and even hyundai bite off the other cars in the market.

i say just "splurge" and buy a slightly used honda or toyota, even a late model hyundai and spare yourself the agony...i worked at a motorcycle shop for a while and Geely motorscooters are the biggest piles of useless sh*t i've ever come across. No parts or manufacturer support available.

The chinese cars will be as good as the Koreans were 15 years ago, which is to say, not very good. In 10 years they may be competitive, assuming whoever imports the Chinese cars can survive the barrage of litigation. China's car industry finds a nice design and copies it, which is A-OK in China.

Didn't these cars have no crash rating? Like they were rated 0 out of 5? I wouldn't be caught dead in one of these.. unless of course I were driving one and did happen to get into an accident lol.
