2007 Porsche 911 turbo:
$124,000 3.6L Turbo H6 480 hp, 460 lb-ft, Rear engine, all wheel drive. 3495 lbs (7.28 lbs/hp) 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 $107,000 3.6L H6 415 HP 298 lb-ft, Rear engine, rear wheel drive. 3076 lbs (7.41 lbs/hp) If you had the means to afford either, which would you get? |
Get a 911 GT2 and have the best of both worlds. :)

I have always been an NA car guy at heart. That said, the GT3. Its the lightest and most pure version of the 911. The turbo might be fun, but like the EVO, the GT3 has a more raw race car feel. Hell you can even order it with a rollbar I believe.

IMO, the 2007 911 Turbo is one of the best looking Porsches ever. Twin-Turbo, 0-60 in 3 and a half seconds, and a beautiful interior. I can understand someone going with the GT3 if they wanted more of a racer .. but for day to day -- 911 Turbo all the way!

It's such a hard decision because i love the engine (turbo) and drivetrain in the 911 turbo, but i have always been a fan of the GT3, and its looks. Also the GT3 is cheaper...
BUT, i would never drive a Porsche, AND this decision is too hard to make if i would drive one. The only super car i really like are the Lamborghini Diablo's, which are closer to $200k then $100k. Other then that i really would just have to buy a sport compact car and dump a ton of money into it. Like an R34 for example. |
New 911 turbo=sick. Forget the Z06 and N/A GT3 IMO.

Which one would I drive? 911 Turbo no questions asked!! I do think a new Z06 with bolt ons and tires would better performance vehicle in almost every way over both of them.

The 911 turbo is kinda soft,the GT 3 is more for the racetrack.

I would totally take the 911 Turbo, 457ft.lb of torque from 1900 - 5000 rpm flat, thanks to variable turbo. AWD with mid engine .... it just can't be beat. With that much torque I'ld just tow my trailer with the car :lol:
