DRL's on an Outlander

Does the lancer have daytime running lights? If so how do you disconnect them.....i have a outlander and cannot figure out how to disconnect them

my lancer doesn't, i'm not sure about anything past 2003 though.

there might be a fuse you can pull, or even a wire you can snip... but aren't DRLs for safety anyway though?

Well the fuse doesnt work , i tried that already

The reason i want to disable them is because i want to install a HID kit

apparently there's a little sensor that can tell whether it's daytime or night... i've heard of people putting a piece of electrical tape over it to trick the car into thinking it's night all the time.

what's the VIN on that car? i'll plug it into CAPS and see if i can find a part listing for the sensor and where it's located.

i also saw on mitsubishi-forums.com that on a galant and eclipse you can pull a pin on the ECU... they made no mention of monteros in that specific thread though.

thanks i just figured it out though, went on the 4g eclipse forums...turns out in the front ecu theres a pin you need to bend off, perfect! No drl's
