Ralliart Magna.. Ralliart Pajero

In Australia we are getting the mitsubishi ralliart magna in a months time and the ralliart pajero later in the year.. The ralliart magna looks real sweet at the Perth autoexpo a few days ago..

I was just wondering when the U.S got it and how successful it was.... I hope it takes off downunder ! :headbang:

We never got Ralliart anything...hehehehe...Neither of those models is in the US...

What's a Magna?
Is it another 4 door car like the Galant?

The Ralliart Pajero rocks.
It was featured in the jackie chan movie "Who am I"

VRX = Watered down Magna

What kind of engine does that Railliart Magna have?
We have the Diamante VRX available here. The Diamante
and the Magna/Verada are the same car. The VRX is basically
a Diamante with black trim instead of chrome, different
wheels, a spoiler, and white face gauges. The only performance
upgrade is a lower restriction exhaust that adds 10 horses (up
from 205 to 215) We think it might have some slight suspension
imporvements a la Galant GTZ (lowered 1/4 of inche, different
valving on the dampers) but we aren't sure since we haven't
received any technical info yet. I wish they had just pulled
the old 3000GT SL 3.0L DOHC motor off the shelf and dropped
it in for 222 horses. But oh well, we get the 3.5L SOHC motor.

When Ralliart gets established here with the introduction of
the Evolution, things may change for the better.

The Magna should be the Diamante in US not Galant. There will be a Diamante VR-X available in US, which should be closer to the Ralliart version than the regular old people version, heh. Just check these photo to see....these are images of regular Diamante

Going quickly...

Out of the first batch of VR-X's we received (about 7 cars)
we only have one left, after two and a half weeks. That's
pretty quick for Diamantes period, the other LS's and ES's
have gone cold. What follows is a shot of the remaining car.
We put on a chromed set of LS wheels. The stock VR-X
wheel is a six spoke, which we think is okay, but 17's would
have been better.

more VR-X

The EVO 6 wing looks a lot better, but would
probably be a bit over the top for US customers, especially
without the sideskirts and bumper covers to go with it. To me
most cars look tacky when all the have is a really big, or
expensive wing, but no other body mods, and our VR-X's look
good with just this tamer spoiler.

The interior

I like this interior. Most woodgrain looks tacky to me unless
it is done extensively and that's usually only on expensive
cars. I'm glad the Galants did away with it, and it looks
good on the other Diamantes, but this VR-X looks great.

Those are indeed some hot lookin' luxo-barges...I really am not a fan of red on cars but I'll take it!
