Who knows about Galant VR-4's?

I am considering buying one. They don't seem to be a big headache like 1 and 2g DSM's. Theyre fast with little money and cheap to pick up but still have a cool factor because they are rare.

Could someone tell me what I am getting myself into? I can handle small quirks but for the most part this is going to be a daily for me.

I meant, like a 1g or 2g Eclipse/Talon/Laser etc.

Same headache as a dsm ive owned 6 of them. Not really a dsm since it was built in japan but you can use basically all 1g dsm parts.

sent em both PM's, doesn't look like theyre on much.

I can deal with stupid things, cheap this and that. I just don't want to be hoping my car starts in the AM...

I was thinkin of selling my talon shell and possibly picking up a gvr4 shell. I was told by xspsi4 on here that it would be a huge mistake. He said the vr4's are even more junk than tryint to deal with a beat up 1g. He had one that was very very clean and he said it was hell getting it to that condition.

If your gonna go with a dsm and want cheap, just pick up a 1g. If you have a little bit more money, grab a 2g.

Maybe send them email? If they allow it, anyway.

DSM's were built in Normal, IL with less quality control.

GVR4's were built as whole cars in Japan and shipped over so their quality is better.

GVR4 was the best quality Mitsubishi built before the Evo.

Did they ever make a 2g Eclipse GSX convertible?

yahu Oct 22, 2009 10:04 AM

^I'm pretty sure that is what the spyder was, right? I guess it was the Spyder GSX.
