Mazda's G-vectoring
http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars...ctoring-works/
They seem to have been working on this a long time. So even though it is easy enough to explain, those pesky details must be the line between nuisance and improvement. |
Am I the only one that thinks the whole "throttle hinged on the floor" is a stupid fanboi gimmick? I've driven a few cars like that, my BMW has it... Makes absolutely no difference. It kinda guarantees that it'll be pretty good for heel n toe downshifts, but a nice wide too hung pedal is just as good.
And for the record, Infiniti also has some cars with bottom hinged pedals... The g vectoring thing sounds pretty neat though... It also sounds like something that could be tuned in with a capable standalone ecu for other cars with some testing, maybe even some oem ecu's very developed software |
I lost interest at step 1: Reduce engine torque.
Might as well throw in some brake-based torque vectoring while you are at it. {thumbdwn} |
