Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VIII 2005 Black 41k Miles 100% STOCK UNICORN
For Salegood luck with sale. these are definitely getting MORE rare(especially the tarmac black color)...and values are increasing for lower mileage vehicles in great condition...mine was appraised at this value. only 3 in the country available with the SSL package listed.
I, too, have a low mile Evo 8. SSL version. Tarmac Black. I just crossed over into the 35k mile club. OG owner. OG window sticker. garaged. never seen rain...has some tasteful minor mods with all stock parts stored.(wheels, suspension, etc.)..
beautiful car.
p.s. somewhere on EVOm there is a listing of how many of each color were imported into the US for each year and model. if my memory serves me right, in 2004, only 6000 were imported, only 3000 were tarmac black gsr version, and of those 1800 had the SSL package...i could be incorrect...i just cant find the post..

1. The car FS here is not an SSL.
2. Your model year production numbers are incredibly off.
3. Mitsubishi never gave production numbers by color.
4. Mitsubishi never said how many were SSL and how many were not.
Also no one is going to buy this car at this price unless they are very uninformed, and have a lot of money to blow. This is pristine Evo IX pricing, if all other things were the same. Hope you get what you want for it OP, but highly unlikely it's going to go for anything north of $25k max.

How high were you when you posted this?

Yes, or
No
And keep in mind the Evo IX is not a "better" Evo, so comparing mine to a IX might not be fair. There are plenty of people who prefer an VIII for its more angled front end look, or true carbon fiber wing, or the fact that mine still has the 10.5 hotside turbo. Just because its not a IX doesn't make mine undesirable. If someone finds a Tarmac Black IX with 43k miles and is for sale for 29k, then I suggest they buy it. If not, they can buy my VIII for "25k".
But thanks for the bump regardless.
Had a few people come look at it with no solid offers just yet. Keep em coming, thank for looking!
Price is negotiable, please let me know what your budget is and i'm sure we can work something out.
Update: Car just crossed 44k. Seems like I'm putting a lot of miles on it but it's only because I'm starting to show it more to people at shows and meets. Also put the stock 8 Altezza taillights back on it for Caffeine and Carburetors 2 weeks ago. 7 red taillights included in sale.

Tommyfyeah came to check the car out and actually was impressed enough to put it on Youtube. Thanks Tommy!
Corrections: He mentions the miles is 42k. It's actually just crossed 44k, as mentioned above in this forum thread.
He also mentions the oxidation issue on the hood and after a small discussion with my friend who owns a detail shop, the oxidation is now cleared up. Just an hour with an orbital on low RPM took the spot seen in the video above right out.

Bump. Open to offers, and since the last person to come offered to trade, here are the cars I'd be looking to trade for (assuming they all have no accidents, little to no modifications, low mileage with title in hand):
Porsche 911 Carrera 4S 996
Ford Focus RS
E39 M5 (2001+)
Z3M Coupe (Either engine)
Z4M Coupe
Porsche Cayman (Base or S) 2014+
Porsche 911 Carrera 4S 996
Ford Focus RS
E39 M5 (2001+)
Z3M Coupe (Either engine)
Z4M Coupe
Porsche Cayman (Base or S) 2014+
