Lancer 2.0 4b11 engine


Piggy back ecu for Mitsubishi Lancer. Used on 2009 lancer without a problem on the car. Noticeable throttle response and torque. Also got about 1-2 mpg more but it's all dependent on how you drive. According to road race it works on all 4B11 engines. RR description is below.


This ECU add on is designed to maximize the performance of your 4B11 engine. Expect 6+ foot lbs of torque from 3500-6500 rpms. We have maximized the fuel curves to better take advantage of basic mods like intake, header and exhaust. PLUS YOU WILL GET BETTER GAS MILEAGE Regardless of mods, this Piggyback unit will increase h.p. for any 4B11 Engine. It is PRE TUNED FOR MAX POWER. Installation is an easy 5 wires. Expect serious gains in top end power and more torque throughout the powerband. It is the single most effective upgrade you can buy short of a turbo kit. The optimization of the air/fuel ratio is what we've addressed with this piggyback for a much cleaner, efficient air/fuel mixture. Furthermore, this unit comes with complete directions for installation and all the necessary hardware needed to install. Also Ram Air Intake

(check MAF design as noted below)

Item is used. I did not clean it but you can polish it back up when you receive it if you want. Note your MAF sensor as this fits the rectangular design. Some newer lancers have a triangle so this would not fit those designs. Some cars have it and some don't so make sure you check. Below is the description from Road Race.

This provides noticeable low end and throttle response. Combine it with the ECU I have for sale and they car will be a different machine.

CVT and MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS

2008+ Lancer 2.0L

We tested numerous designs to get the most power from this intake. This part was designed specifically for the Lancer and fits both the Manual and the CVT vehicles. This intake is made out of high grade aluminum and features a CNC machined MAF sensor holder, aluminum heat shield and has larger filter area than stock for maximum performance. This intake has a beautiful polished finish and comes with all parts, hardware and instructions needed for installation.

All Road Race products are developed with our 30 + years of knowledge and racing experience, and are dyno proven to to produce maximum performance.This system utilizes an industry leading K&N high flow filter for maximum performance and filtration. The proper filter will help improve throttle response and fuel economy. K&N filters are lab and real world tested to ensure top notch quality. The filter can last up to 50,000 miles before cleaning is required. This WILL fit 2012 Lancer

- Why go with a Short Ram over a Cold Air Intake?

- Road Race has tested both style intakes on the dyno with one result time and time again, they make the SAME power throughout the power band. With a very minimal advantage going to the Cold Air Intake just before red line the Short Ram has slightly better low end torque so we will call it a draw there. But the Short Ram design has a few advantages:

- Cost is lower

- Installation is much easier

- There is no risk of hydro locking during rainy weather

- Better low end torque which most 4 cylinders desperately need

- Easier to maintain

Some 2015+ models will not work with available intake systems due to MAF design. Please ensure you check you unit to ensure it fits.
