I ran this same exact exhaust for a few years on my Evo. To answer OP's question, it doesn't really drone(not much worse than any other exhaust I've tried anyway) but it is fairly loud, even at idle. With my car warming up outside I could hear it through several walls in my house due to just how low the tone was. It sounded awesome though, especially at WOT. It's one of those that sounds better from the outside of the car. I went with a Tanabe Medalion now because I don't like getting pulled over all the time for no reason. All in all though, it's a pretty great setup, I enjoyed mine quite a bit. Fit the JDM rear perfectly.
