Description:
Hello,
YMM, 2005 Lancer Evolution RS WW 5-Speed
I'm currently looking to get an Exedy HD pull-type clutch in new or lightly used or rebuilt with proper paperwork.
I would use a push-type if it came with the hydraulic conversion.
I would also be interested in a rebuildable core as long as the price is right.
I'm not interested in the competition brands as I hear to many issues.
My car made 737awhp 619lbtq before my act 2600HD slipped on the dyno ??.
So in order to put 800+ an some more TQ down this is what I need.
Thanks for checking my thread out.
Pictures for attention.
Nice setup man, it must be a complete beast to drive!
The ACT 6 puck sprung is a single disk that is rated for 725 ft/lb. However, I think your car will eat it up regardless of that. Is this a drag car or street driven? I think you're right, you might HAVE to just get the exedy triple. The Quarter Master twin with race disk can hold 900ft lbs, the triple even more. Both cheaper than the exedy if budget is an issue.

Yea I thing the act 2600 had about 500 miles on it before it started slipping hah.
I had a QM twin a while back on the gsx and the separate discs without a central hub was twisting my input shaft costing me at of money with the each time.
So with that being said I feel the triple sense it drives like stock I could get at least 20k out of it with abuse before couple hundred bucks to rebuild it.
I was just hoping someone had a dyno time exert triple or a new not used but part out clutch they would be willing to let go. That is before I pay whole sale price through T14.
Thanks for the compliment,

I see. I have also seen issues with the 8-leg around this forum in the past where the hub separates from the friction disk. The exedy triple does drive well, you just have to deal with the rattling noise. The hub and disk rebuilds aren't that painful if you have the time. At that power level though, it's just part of the maintenance.
If you find a usable and cheap hd twin, you could convert it to triple hd too.

I'm just hoping some one has one for a build that never happened and chimes in with a good deal.

Yea I actually was thinking about that until I found out the exedy clutches come balanced and if you convert a twin to a triple is essentially no longer going to be a balanced rotating assembly. I found a few twin discs that require a rebuild for 200-400$. But if any of the essential parts are bad your looking at 300-400$ each part. Aka the pressure plate or the fly wheel.

At least I didn't.
