Seen these guys?
https://www.ortizcustompods.com/mitsubishi.html

I had them make one for me not long ago. I've been meaning to do a product review on this. The bottom line is that i'm happy but it took a while. I sent an email prior and was told 1-2 weeks if I supplied the ashtray. I realize that they are hand made parts being produced by a very small business, on a made to order basis. Nevertheless, it took 2 months and I'd hope they quote lead times more accurately in the future on this product.

Although the part uses a factory ashtray, you will need to trim a bit off the center console socket that the ashtray fits into. Not much, and it is not visible with the ashtray installed. For my gauge (an Innovate ethanol content gauge), the pod itself needed some massaging to sink the gauge enough to allow proper lid function. I'm assuming they make the pods on the smaller side as it is much easier to remove material than to add it back. This was not a big deal. A little time with a sanding drum on the ol' Dremel and quick spray paint touch up and it looks and fits great.

Hopefully I can get around to writing a real review here before too long. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Perfect 👌. That is the exact gauge I want to put in there as well. And exactly what I am looking for. But this isn’t the first negative thing I’ve heard regarding.

Would love some photos if possible.

Went ahead and placed an order with Ortiz.

Really like the idea of putting my ethanol content gauge in the ash tray and the ability to close the lid on it as it is not necessary to be visible at all times.

I also already have a trio of aem guages in the gruppe s panel.

will update once it arrives if anyone is interested.

thanks to the poster above (apex hunter) who contacted me and provided photos, and useful information.
