Description:
I am the third owner of this excellently maintained 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII. I bought it in July of 2019 and everything was completely stock except for a WeaponR catch can, and the original amp under the passenger seat had been replaced with a Sony amplifier.
I have all receipts for the below work done by English Racing in 2019 and 2020.
ACT HDSS clutch
Flywheel resurfacing
Forced Performance HTA71 turbo w/10.5cm hotside
GSC S2 billet cams
GSC beehive springs and titanium retainers
Supertech valve stem seals
Evo IX MLS head gasket
ARP head studs
FIC 1100cc injectors
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Grimmspeed electronic boost controller
Tomei downpipe and O2 housing
Tomei Expreme titanium catback
ETS test pipe
ETS speed density intake
ETS upper and lower intercooler pipes
English Racing tuned and dyno'd at 399 whp and 356 w.torque, which was perfect for me as my daily. I never really had the desire to go beyond that.
I have been changing oil every 4k with Mobil1 5w-30 full synthetic. I put new Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires on 11/13/21, and also have a set of dedicated winter wheels/tires. Power steering fluid flush with OEM at 105k. Timing belt, water pump, balance belt, serpentine belt and pulleys just changed around 101k. Transmission oil changed with OEM Diaqueen earlier this year at 100k. Brand new Bilstein B6 HD struts and shocks at 100k, new OEM bump stops, new OEM inner and outer tie rods and steering rack boots. Whiteline front and rear end links at 90k. OEM gauge cluster bulbs at 85k. New cabin air filter at 82k. OEM transmission, transfer case and rear diff fluid all changed around 80k plus an AvalonKings ceramic coating and new OEM battery. The Mitsubishi airbag recall TSB was performed at 77k.
There are no check engine or service lights on. The sunroof works great and moves all the way back open or tilts up. ACD works and readily switches between all 3 modes. HID headlight adjusters, heater/defroster and AC, all windows and door locks, wipers and windshield sprayers all work perfectly.
Only exterior mod is a Rexspeed carbon fiber exhaust shield on the rear bumper, and RalliArt mudflaps I purchased from the U.K. The Enkei wheels are all original and in great shape with no curb rash. When I ceramic coated the car in 2019 I also gave each wheel a coating and I'd like to think it's helped preserve them.
I also changed the map, dome lights, and rear license plate lights with 6000k cool white LEDs. They are all matching in color, function well, and look great. I had a Kenwood double din head unit installed to give the inside a little bit of a modern touch.
The car is in great overall shape with no rust. All VINs are matching and I have a clean Oregon title in hand. Emissions just passed in August so it has tags good until 2023. It is an absolute blast to drive! Turn-key ready for the next owner to love as much as I did.
