I bought this Evo in late spring 2023 to build into a dual-purpose track and autocross car. It's decently quick on-track especially considering no aero mods and also never having run anything other than RE71RS, but it missed my track-time goals by about two seconds per lap, and putting bigger cams + a bigger turbo on the car to trim that time would increase the turbo lag for autox, so it's not going to be my one-car solution for both activities.

This is a full street car with a full interior, working A/C and heat, working OEM lights, wipers, etc (the rear wiper was removed for looks and weight savings, I have all the parts, you can easily reinstall it). It does not have the OEM catalytic convertor anymore and it's been tuned for E85/bigger injectors/converted to speed density, so it might not pass emissions testing where you live, if you have that requirement for registration/plates.

A bunch of the parts/modifications the car has were installed new in the winter of 2023/2024, including the Blouch 1.0XTR Dominator ball bearing turbo, Moroso baffled oil pan/crank scraper, Setrab/MAP Performance 25-row oil cooler, E85 tune by Pure Drive Performance, and ACT Streetlite flywheel/HDPP/sprung organic clutch disc. The built head has Kelford 272 cams, Kiggly beehive valve springs with cro-mo retainers, Kiggly HLA, fed by FIC high-Z 1200cc injectors, aftermarket fuel rail width pressure gauge, and Sparktech COP. The car is converted to speed density from the OE MAP-based system, it has full ETS short-run intercooler hard piping kit + a Perrin FMIC, and a relocated-to-trunk lightweight NoCo li-fe battery. I have some OE spare parts too (rear hubs/uprights, ACD-equipped transfer case, factory oil pan and oil cooler, MAF unit, engine ECU, OE radiator, new HPS silicone radiator hoses) that will go with the car.

An OE Mitsubishi short block was installed under 10k miles ago (a previous owner blew the original bottom end). The engine doesn't burn oil; the leakdown figures are excellent across the board; and on-track, after 15 minutes of 10/10ths continuous hot lapping at 5k feet of altitude, peak coolant temps do not exceed 216F and there's only oily water in the catchcan from the valve cover outlets.

Again, this is a street car—it has working A/C, heat, full OEM interior, P/S, power windows & mirrors, and all OE lighting working. FYI I don't have some of the OE parts, like the catalytic convertor, OE wheels, or OE downpipe or O2 housing.

The car is on OEM suspension now (the Ohlins coilovers I used to have on the car have been sold). I have other wheelsets that can be substituted if the blurple Anovia wheels aren't your style.

Want to put different suspension on the car than the OEM dampers/springs, wanna go cheap? I have a local guy here in Colorado selling a set of very lightly used BC Racing BR-series coilovers/camber plates for $800.
