2005 Apex Silver Evo, 2-owner, Rust & Wreck-free, Light Bolt Ons, Babied, $16k

I searched patiently for a while to find this car because I knew I wanted a lightly modded reliable Evo built/maintained by a highly reputable individual/shop. After searching for a while, I found this car in Dallas, and flew from Tampa to pickup this car. It has been my daily driver, but planning for a kid, I need a car that's a bit more daily-friendly.

The car is adult owned, and treated as such. I'm 33. The first owner was in his late 30's when he sold it to me. The car has never been launched, the original clutch lasted 90k. It's a southern car, and between Texas and Florida it is snow-free, rust-free, and in great shape.

All the power mods were done by the first owner, by EvolutionDynamics outside of Dallas. I have not wanted to touch a single thing in regards to performance because it runs so well that I didn't want to mess with a good thing. I have a one-inch binder full of every receipt from every time the car has had any work done which the first owner started and I continued, have both original keys, etc.

Power mods:
ETS intake w MAF adapter, K&N filter
Grimmspeed 3-port electronic boost controller
eBay Turbo Back Exhaust
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
Forge Diverter Valve
EvolutionDynamics Tune

Other mods/related stuff:
EBC brake rotors and pads
Competition Stage 2 clutch
Greddy Turbo Timer mounted in the pocket below the radio
Autometer Boost Gauge mounted on the column
Boomba Racing lower motor mount
Stainless steel clutch line
Depo JDM tail lights (still have the OEM tail lights, will give them to the buyer)
Kenwood head unit w/ bluetooth
JL Audio XD series amp and JL Audio door speakers
HIDs by theretrofitsource.com

I was a professional car audio installer in my past life, and an anal one, so the speakers and HIDs are as clean as can be. The HID wiring and ballasts are completely hidden, and the amp is mounted under the driver seat, also totally hidden with very clean wiring.

Maintenance
New A/C compressor at 100K miles
New radiator at 110K miles
Timing belt service at 120K
Literally brand new Hankook Evo2 tires, less than 1000 miles on them
Airbag recall done a month ago superbovine (forum member and Evo owner, and technician at Dependable Mitsubishi)
Full driveline fluids done also a month ago by superbovine at Dependable Mitsubishi

...Yes I drove almost 3 hours to the east coast of FL for the airbag recall because I don't trust the local dealerships, and had him do all the driveline fluids while I was there. The first owner was religious about having all the fluids done at proper intervals, and according to his records, the driveline fluids weren't due until 140k, but it was convenient for me to have superbovine do it st 134k while the car was in the hands of someone knowledgeable at a dealership.

Con:
The first owner had the front bumper replaced when he hit a high curb. It was re-sprayed, but they didn't prep it correctly, so the paint is chipping off. Since it's getting worse, I'll be getting this fixed, unless the buyer wants to fix it, in which case the price will reflect accordingly. You'll see this in the pics below.

I like the wingless look so I've never had the wing on the car, but I still have it in my garage and it will come with the car as well. Of course it has some peeling on the carbon fiber part, as does every Evo.

Asking $17,000 $16,000. Since it's a daily driver, it's hard for me to drop it at a paint shop, so it's likely a buyer will buy it before I fix the bumper, but the price is now dropped by $1k which is absolutely less than the cost of getting the bumper redone.

Interested.

Hi there. Was curious to know if the car was still for sale by chance? Been looking for one for a while.

Still for sale.

I had noticed recently it was cranking a tiny bit slower, so I threw a new starter on it this morning.
Wouldn't have been noticeable unless you had the car for a while, so I wouldn't want a buyer to get stuck.

Bump!

You live in sunny Florida, any need for a 2012 Miata with power retractable hard top? If I saw your car at a dealership I would trade in the Miata ASAP.

Great looking car, who ever gets it will love it.

Unfortunately not, I'm looking for something family-friendly.

Ok, it's been up for a month, so price lowered to 16k.

It's going on Craigslist as well today. I had only listed it here to hopefully give it to an enthusiast but at some point a sale is a sale.
