Well last nite went to work on my car and there was a coon in the yard so had to wait for animal cntrol. I think all that's left to put on is the battery intake and uicp but I broke the oil feed line eye bolt. And ordered one but donno how long that's gonna take.

Anyone here have the silver 8 with jdm 8/9 tails and wingless with a small trunk spoiler? I gave a thumbs up from a black Mazdaspeed Protege while passing by on Jefferson a little south of Ft Eustis Blvd.

 

after midnight and been workin on my car for another hour or two, yah im lazy, but i got everything on minus sway bar, eye bolt, and coil cover. all of course easy to put on. i got some lil black curved metal piece that came off the head (like the sides of it) i think it goes on the front right of the head (when lookin at the engine from in front) but unless i knew its rlly needed im jus leavin it off bc itd be a hassle to get in there. um yah so jus waitin on the eye bolt so i can start her up. gonna put some sorta STP no smoke crap in my oil unless you guys advise against it see what it does for me. will also need to put more coolant in since i kinda poured some out from the radiator lines

Jus bought some 245/45/17 hankook ventus R-S2 tires from tirerack.com 331 for a set of four and shipping. Hopefully get 30k miles out of them.

waitin on this eye bolt. gonna see if it starts up and how much it smokes. if its not that much gonna drive it til i have enuff money to send it to sage. if its still as bad as before, probly send it to sage and have them work on it. and if possible pay for it outta pocket. if not, maybe gary and them will let me get a discount on labor by willing to put the sage auto decal on my sideskirts or sumthing like that. and if still too much for outta pocket, take out a small loan to pay for the repairs

 

yeah Sage only sells parts so i know they dont do discounts on labor. Theres a shop next door to them that does all there labor work.

I'm also seeing if warranty direct is worthwhile then use that? N the end loan will probly have to be taken out

 

whos black evo is over at sage auto? It still has elite motor temp plate?

 

not another elite car. get this one working great before putting it out on the streets again.

Let me know how that wartenty direct works for ya. i have a feeling i might need a new motor at some point cuz im almost 80k miles and drag racing in low 11's should hit 10's in a little over a week. wow i cant wait.
