Va Beach EVO's
You sound like you know what your talking about just on page five now but reading on. Are you in Virginia? Your location says Colorado. So far from reading this thread Virginia needing a shop for Evo's you sound like a tuner. I am a guy who wants to own his own shop and now we just need the mechanics. Good quality mechanics lol. Lets do this, just kidding nothing wrong with a little day dreaming, thats how I get by with these boring deployments.
got my front license plate mount. if ne1 is bored enough and or has a decent spot for me to take my bumper off, please let me know. wouldnt mind doing it today with sunlight out
Are you arguing this, Mark? I don't understand why. You're a smart guy with far more tuning knowledge than I have...
However, if you don't know why tuning on a Mustang Dyno is better than tuning on a Dynojet, then frankly, I'm speechless. It has absolutely nothing to do with the numbers themselves. I couldn't care less if the numbers say 300whp or 3000whp. I'm fully aware of the problem with manipulated MD settings. Have you not noticed how often I shoot down inflated MD results from places whose MDs have obviously been manipulated to read like a Dynojet? I fully agree that the Dynojet is better for comparison of NUMBERS, but that wasn't the point. The point I'm making is about which one mimics street conditions the best. That would be the Mustang Dyno, because it is load bearing. YOu can take a MD tune straight to the street with no change in AFRs, but that is not the case on a Dynojet. You can tune a car on a Dynojet and see the change in power...on the dyno only. That does not translate into accurate AFRs and power delivery on the street. This is not a matter of opinion; it's a matter of fact.
Yes, AMS just started flashing THIS month (December). I didn't know either at first until I went into their forum and read the recent thread announcing it.
BTW, using the 03 Evo's published crank numbers vs your Dynojet results of 235whp is no basis for argument here. Why did the 05s only get a published 5hp bump at the crank, yet they dyno 245-250whp on Dynojets? That indicates a drivetrain loss of 9-11%. Then, if you look at the 06s, they are listed at 286, yet dyno as high as 270-275 on Dynojets, which would indicate a drivetrain loss of 4-5%. Mitsu's published crank figures are arbitrary for the most part...

Not to get in the middle of you two but seems that you both know what your talking about but just different opinions. Mark already in the business. Dude serious? That stuff your talking about was 2005. None of them people are in this area anymore and a lot has changed since

where you doing it at chris?
Since the body shop replaced my front bumper when a b*tch in my apartments hit it, it has had holes for it. And before I got pulled over bc of no front plate but no ticket. Plus the base bickers about it. So I'm trying to put it on. Oddly enough I'm not sure if the bracket is supposed to go behind the bumper or in front
the bumper has a couple holes alrdy drilled. but i halfway attempted to put it on and they didnt line up. so ill go ghetto and put some silver sharpied putty or clay in there. lol. but yes anyday after 4ish would be fine. if you wanna do it where i live, 264/birdneck, then let me know. the sooner the better
Yeah just seeing if they were around still thats all lol catching up on whats being going the past couple years in this region. Hoping its gotten better lol. About to skip all of it and check out whats going on now. Now that your said something.
Draven83 hey like your numbers hoping to get into the 9's myself which is a big leap for me but hoping to do it in Texas with my Tuner before I move to Virginia. I order most of my parts from STM as well they pretty good. Next purchase is the triple clutch Exedy my twin just burned up in three runs down the track and it was brand new after breaking it in and all of course. Had bald tires and kept getting boost leaks. So slicks and some couplings should do the trick. Looking into the D2 coilovers as well. We should talk more would like to know what you have done to your Evo to get you in the 9's. I am currently with JMS out of San Antonio, Texas.
Just letting you know, Warr was not located in Hampton Roads. He was in Northern VA.
Actually I was not like its much reading just lots of pages lol. Not like I have anything better to do while deployed except gym and war. Time is what I have. Anyways now that you guys have said something I've skipped it all. Just trying to find out whats in the area and whats been going on.
