Mazda Live Zoom Zoom 8/13/2006

If anyone heads on over to www.zoomzoomlive.com tommorrow you can still register to test drive a lot of the cars on Mazda's lineup including the Mazdaspeed 6, the Mx-5, and the Rx-8 tommorrow on Fedex field in an Auto-X course. I'm signed up for 11:45 tomorrow let me know if anyone else would be interested in going.

This event was FUN!!! I got to see how slow the MAZDA SLOW 6 really is. Where they serious about it having turbo?! I didnt feel a kick or anything. I didnt hear shyt either, what a disappointment. The most fun I had was driving the MX-5! Drifting that lil thing was definately heart pumping.

The Mazdaspeed 6 was slow as hell I thought. I had more fun driving the Miata and the RX-8. Did any of you think the shifter on the Speed 6 felt cheap?

The shifter was pretty bad. I couldn't get mine into 2nd gear very well... I missed that shift twice on one lap. Even with that I got like 44.2 seconds, which was like 2 seconds from the best time of the hour...

The RX-8 isn't blindingly fast, but it's definitely a blast to drive. One of my friends who went with me is now set on getting one. Overall, a good time was had by all, even the wife.

yes, the speed6 was incredibly slow feeling, especially compared to the evo. the rx-8 was an awesome drive but the mx-5 was a tail-happy freak. that little car had so much frame twist and body roll it was ridiculous. at least it was predictible though, or else i would have spun out for sure.

I went last year, and there were long lines. I don't think the registration helped to manage the wait times. Going there earlier does help though. The event was okay, but I'm not sure it was worth the 2 hour wait in line for 30 seconds in a Mazda.

they really improved the line times (but don't ask me how). the longest i waited was 15 minutes, and starting off it was more like 5. the early bird catches more track time.
