I used some long needle nose vise grips and a hammer, also remember I work on multi-million dollar Army equipment and everything needs a Hammer. My favorite saying If you cant get it with the hammer you got, GET A BIGGER HAMMER!!!!!

PS. when i ran 12s in my evo 8 (not evo 9 mr) with bolt-ons. i wasnt using a 2step.

when my transfer case went up didnt launch or race my car in 8k miles.... had a clutch job done and didnt do any racing on it till the new case went in... so no and dont worry ill have come new stuff soon enough. no need to get all worked up i was juuust kidding
