front plate removal

i cant figure out how to get the bracket off. there is 3 bolts 2 of which i can get off. the third has some rubber thing around the bolt that is preventing me from getting the bolt off. how do i get it off?

I had the same problem, the top left bolt right? I swapped my screwdriver with a drill and kept turning it till it came out, probably stripped the hell out of something.

no it was the bottom one. and it is starting to get stripped.. cant get it though

i think you have to take the front bumper off b/c the rubber piece is bigger on the otherside....

I though that the rubber thing mushroomed out/expanded behind the bumper so that if you loosened up the bolt and pushed it in that it would be easier to release?

I'll peek around when I get home. I think that I might still have the install instructions.

yeah it the rubber thing mushrooms up when you tighten the screw so it holds the plate in...all three of mine were that way...just loosen them and pull it on with pliers or something. i dd it when i had the bumper off so i just loosed them up and pushed them from the back but im sure it can be done without taken the bumper off

I tried taking off my front plate and had the same problem so I just left it. Then when I changed my headlights and had the bumper off I saw that big rubber thing and I just cut it off with a pair of clippers and presto no front plate. But now I have a hole the size of a dime in my front bumper. So keep that in mind.
