The HKS exhaust is quieter than the AMS but the Apexi is even quieter yet. I would suggest the Apexi, it is not worth getting pulled over a third time for exhaust.

go find a state inspector, give him some extra money, and have him sign it....
to much work to go switching exhausts around if you ask me....

Damstr, I had an AMS on my car, with the Vibrant muffler section. Darn thing was so loud it was giving me a headache resonating through the interior. I replaced the vibrant tail-section with a Magnaflow and the car is much quieter now. Still not as quiet as I would like so I may put another smaller round section Magnaflow in the middle, a cat helps too... Cars don't have to be loud to make power.
