Hi everyone, I have a few questions.. I have a 2002 Lancer ES and live in Central, PA. I made a few modifications but nothing to drastic yet.. I know some of the laws in PA (I think) but I would like to know for sure what they are, everything I do with my lancer I would like for it to be legal or at least pass state inspection. First off I was thinking about getting an Air intake like an AEM and I was wondering if it would pass inspection.. Also what about something like a greddy cat back exhaust system? Are there any other laws in PA that I need to know? If anyone has any tips, laws, etc., please post here. Also... I would like to know what kind of amps my stock alternator gives out? I would like to know if I am going to have to upgrade to a bigger one for a future audio system.. Thanks in advance, NICK from PA

 

I lived in PA for many years......If the parts you are installing do not hurt the cars emissions, you should be ok. Most inspection places aren't sophisticated enough to tell whether a part is stock or not, nor do they care. They mostly just want to replace your brakes and windshield wipers.

the only place I could see you running into problems is if you went to the dealership to get your inspection. They might not like the aftermarket stuff....
