HELP ME! getting an evo have questions!?

Alright so right now my friends dad is going to an auction tmrw. There is an 05 white evo8. Hes not sure if its an MR or a GSR.. he said he would find out tmrw at the auction. But i was told i should push for it if its an MR. i was also told that the GSR transmission was better?
Right now i own a 2007 civic Si.. i know the insurance is going to go up but anyone have an idea as to how much? It's going to be under my dads name..

thanks guys?!

mine went up $40 from an s2000 to an evo. Its an 8, there is really no difference besides the 6spd and suspenion/wheels in the MR package. Either would be fine as long as the price is right.

Depends on your record, age, and what you pay for the car.... I have full coverage, bought my car new, live in California and pay $125 a month There is plenty of insurance companies fighting for business so you can negotiate and get a good rate
