Karting @ Summit Point April 9th
Karting @ Summit Point April 9th
I'm putting together a karting trip to Summet Point Karting for the local DC Metro Evo Owners Club, CCEVO. More info on our Facebook page. It's just on the WV side of the MD/VA/WV boarder. Everyone's invited
We'll likely be entering a team into the endurance race starting at 6:30, and will have several people on track before that. Anyone interested? If you're an experience karting and would like a spot on the enduro team, lmk. We might have a space or two available
Here's the details:
NASA is hosting a 2-hour twilight endurance karting race from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Prior to the race, SPK will be open all day for fun-runs.
Pricing for fun runs prior to 6:30 can be found here. If you don't have a SPK membership, I'd suggest getting one, along with 5 credits. That's a total of 6 races and a t-shirt
It's a pretty good deal and will include enough seat time for 2 or 3 visits, plus give you discounts for when you want more track time later.
The Endurance race is part of NASA's 12-race season, and costs $180 per team, and the team must have at least 4 members. Each team member must drive at least 20 laps, which means 6 members is the max assuming everyone is running quicker than 1-minute laps (low-50's is average, high 40's is good). That works out to $45/member for a 4-man team, $36 for a 5-man, and $30 for a 6-man team.
All drivers must wear closed-toe shoes (not sandals). Helmets will be provided, but feel free to bring your own helmet, gloves, driving shoes, etc. I'd also suggest long pants as opposed to shorts.
Who's in for fun-runs, and who's in for the enduro? I'm game for both
