I have a wicked white '05 and am in the 141 & Big Bend area...have seen three (including mine) white Evo's in this area since getting mine about 5 weeks ago. I was wondering if there was an Evo club in STL...I guess not as such, but a good number in Evo's/Lancers in the STL area.

A meet in Aug would be great...a good chance to meet like minded individuals.

How about doing something a little more organized where we can pool resources for dyno days/strip trips/track days. If enough of the population gets involved the costs per individual start to drop...just a thought.

Honestly I think we need to get a base number of people first. Seriously, get a base number of people from evoM/STLSR and get a meet set up. After that talk to Ron at Axis about dyno, but I've heard renting out GIR is going to be $$$.

Sorry guys...I should've been clearer. I didn't mean to start off with some 'organized club' event right off the bat. That was a more future oriented thought.

Have a couple of meets and see who is interested and will participate on a regular basis. Need to form a core group first.

As for the track thing...GIR sucks. Too small, too expensive. There are MUCH better facilities that are worth a road trip. In the future of course.

You got that right!
GIR is a joke!
Love to participate, too bad there is not some kind of club.

Okay Lancer/Evo owners...35 posts of "...me, too", "...I drive a _______", "....why don't we meet" and still no location or firm date.

Here's a suggestion: August 12 or 13 as suggested earlier in this thread; Bandana's BBQ (will accomodate the under 21 crowd) on Manchester across from Moore Jaguar, just east of 141. There is a large parking lot in front of the furniture stores there to accomodate a large turnout ; as for time, start showing up around 6.00pm-ish.

If the consensus is that BBQ is not what's for dinner, we can caravan it to someplace else...

This is a suggestion...not trying to hi-jack someone else's gig here.

I think the 12th or 13th would be a great idea. The meeting place also sounds good. I would rather meet just a little bit earlier though. I know a couple of people a little closer to where I live that would attend too. Lets get our s*** together!

I agree, the 13th should be good. Lets get something finalized. They aren't going to kick us all off the parking lot when we show up are they. Sometimes when lots of people show up at once in one place, people can get suspicious. Just a side note, I am all about meeting!

Well, I guess someone does give a s***!

Well I guess my earlier post about no one giving a hoot was off base...

We'll go with the date of August 13th. If you want to do an earlier time than was proposed in my initial post, how about start showing up at 2.00pm...that will give a chance for everyone's friday night hangover to wear off.

Meeting earlier will give us time to BS, look at the cars, and then have a late lunch/early supper. Sound good?

I don't think that we will get kicked off the parking lot...after all we are there to frequent an establishment (Bandana's BBQ) which is at one corner of it. It will be after the lunch crowd, too, so there should be plenty of parking.

I will try to get there a few minutes before 2.00pm. There is a driveway at the west end of the lot by Bandana's...look for a white Evo (duh...) parked to your left by the restaurant...

http://tinyurl.com/a25z9 --> If this works, it is a link to mapquest showing where it is on Manchester. If anyone else has a better idea where to meet, then speak up...this isn't a dictatorship!

My name's Andy, BTW...if you show up, introduce yourself. I'm really quite neighbourly.
