0-100-0MPH is off! Due to the timing, the FAA has decided to nix this one event for this year!

All other events; Car-show and auto cross are on, as well as everything else; food/DJ/prizes and trophies. Next year the 0-100-0 MPH is ON! Save your rotors and brakes till next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you pass this on, to the people who are hell bent on doing the 0-100-0, we will still have champions/trophies/ all the fun, but just not this one event.

GRAND CHAMPION WILL BE DECIDED BY SHOW AND GO! Points system applies, to be discussed at Drivers meeting on Sat AM!

If I was told this BEFORE today, I could have secrued another site!!!!!!!!! The Insurance needs a site analysis etc... It was either cancell to another date, or have fun and learn for the next year. lets just move ahead and enjoy saturday! I gather the FAA and the Airport authority have meetings every 3 months, and I got the proposal to them, but they did not READ it in time to issue our intents to the FAA. so if the FAA doesnt approve it, then nothing but AIR traffic on the runway. I was assurred we CAN do it next year, so since this is our first year, usually where you have to work out the kinks, lets just learn from this and move on and RACE..........but still we will have a blast!!!!!!!! There are still the classes ( with trophy winners in each class) and an overall IMPORT winner, an overall DOMESTIC winner, and a combined GRAND CHAMPION. The high hp cars just have to "finess" thier way around the track, it will still be fun/exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Is the auto x on the run way or in a parking lot?

they can use that higher hp for the straight part... of the course...

 

there better be alot of donuts there...No dan not the food kind! hehehehe

 

so im guessing the contestants in the car show off do the autocrosses? what if i wont have my car there, would i be able to participate in the autocross?

 

i think you should charge some entrance fee..or something..i cant believe you're not getting any money from anyone for this

 

I dont take vacations, THIS is my vacation. I dont care about the money Im talking about, the trophies/xtra walkie talkies etc... the donations are for the kids who need it more than I do. I did my first carshow the same way last october, we had donations for indegent(poor) kids for christmas presents. ask around that was fun also.

 

NOT ON PARKING LOT!! if you look at the satellite photo, (I believe page 6), the "block" on the left is ours, it is where they park the airplanes(well I guess it is a parking lot....for planes!). We have just opened the "handle" area to the left. it has a grass center, but we can drive around the grass spot( hopefully hot) and return to the "square area" and resume running on the course.

 

Where's the gate at? Looking at the satellite photo, it looks like mapquest just directs me onto a dead-end road at the southeast end of the airport. Is that it or should it be on that road on the west side of the airport? Or the one to the north?
