Lifts????

Anyone here have access to a lift? I can use the one on base but have to drive 2 billion miles to get there! I love my ground effects but getting under the car is a BIT$%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have ramps but surprise surprise, the front lip hits before I can even get close. I also have a hydraulic jack but again,,, surprise surprise, it wont get the car high enough to use my jack stands etc....

EASY FIX....put a couple boards/ 2x4s in front of your ramps....drive the car up the boards and onto the ramps...then you can get a jack under it......OR....just drive the car up onto a couple 2x4s....should give you enough room to get your jack under.

This has actually been a pain for me, as well. Rhino Ramps are just a bit too steep to allow a X up even without the aero kit at the stock ride height.

I have tons of car tools, but no woodworking tools or I'd build some myself. Anybody want to make a few dollars?

LOWES and Home Depot will both cut wood for you. All you have to do is ask. They also have pre-cut sections too.

Tried that, as soon as the wheels go from the wood to the ramps, the ramps go sliding across the garage. My wife says she "tries" to hold them but you know how that goes.... I'll have to drive up to base and put on the down-pipe/high flow cat. Its going to suck because the cars going to be so damn hot and the bolts will be a bit$#. Plus the lift I use on base has an hour time limit.

Try some bricks or something perhaps? They have perhaps a bit more weight and significantly less fear. There's no way I could get my wife to hold ramps as I'm trying to drive up them .

This is what I do. A small peice of 2X4 gets me up high enough to slide the jack under the front. I don't even have to get both sides up but you might have to.

This is what I have heard every time this question has been brought up and I have never heard any bad reports on his services. On the other hand, I cannot personally vouch for his services.

When I purchased my last set of Direzza's I did call him up and even though he was under another car at the time, he was willing to fit me in at the last minute since I was in a pinch. Needless to say, I took it somewhere else but for personal reasons. He gave me a very good vibe based on talking to him for what thats worth.

It's all done, I'm stage 2 now.. It really woke up the car! It runs great! I'm all smiles! AEM intake and upper IC pipe is next.

So I just read about 100 posts to catch up and damn I have missed a lot. It was somewhat interesting to see both sides of this FS thing. I agree with Paul 100%, but this is a private site, and it doesn't matter what we think.

Anyway... any meets in Dayton/Cincy anytime soon?

Almost finished up the pump gas tune tonight. 478whp and 412tq on pump and 100% humidity is good right? hahaha

Gonna try to squeeze a little more out once this damn rain goes away then time to crank this mf'er up on some E85!

Was that on an actual dyno, or did you estimate it based on a shift in the space time continuum that occured when you actually worked on your car?
