Evos at Purdue West Lafayette
I know I've seen a few Evos at purdue including, but not limited to:
A tarmac black with smoke tails and headlights, lowered, exhaust, really really dark tints, 5zigen rims, Hood vent removed and from what i can see a boost controller, i think a HKS blow off valve, different rotors.
A blue evo that has an exhaust and was lowered
Another blue evo in front of meredith that seems stock except for these weird but cool little fin things on the sides of the front bumper.
I walk past the blue stock-ish evo and the black evo pretty much everyday.
Reveal yourselves!! haha

As for myself, I have an Apex Silver 03 but I'm a freshman so it's not here. I use it for a lot of motorsports anyways so its not like i miss having a daily driver. Needs new tires and brakes anyways
. Maybe I'll bring it down next year, who knows.
I really want an 05 (duh!) but that's not going to happen. That limited slip would help with turn-in soo much on tight turns, especially autocross. I have never ridden in a modded Evo either so if someone wants to give me a ride let me know. I don't know if its worth it to mod my car.

I don't go to purdue (Butler) but I'm interested in hearing about the "motorsports" you participate in with your Evo. Track days, auto-x, time trials, drag etc, and where you do it. BTW those "weird but cool little fin things" are called canards and they add downforce to the front end at speed.
Track days at Gingerman which is nice because Mid-Ohio is scary! I do a lot of autocrosses (usually in Portage, Merillville, Peru, sometimes South Bend), and there is a drag strip by my home town but I've never had the urge to go there. I don't know if that "motorsports" comment is sarcastic or anything but I've never done a time trial or road rally. I'm sorry if I have offended you motorsports master by using the word a way you don't like. It's more of a hobby, amateur class. It would be awesome to get into something like T2 or some CENDIV events but that takes a lot of time and money, neither of which I have.
What you been up to race-wise?
Would the canards ever break off because of too much downforce being applied or is the front bumper strong enough to support that?
Apology in advance if you aren't being an a$$

I def. wasn't trying to be an a$$. I know it's hard to tell on the internet. Gingerman is a great track, I do NASA HPDE's there, Putnam Park and Mid-Ohio. I'm amateur as well, no worries, just HPDE 4 and I'll be doing TTC next year. The canards shouldn't come off under downforce, and if they do, I'd say they either weren't installed properly or they were sh*tty units. I've only done auto-x once and I abused SmokedMustangs car instead of my own haha. I'll be at Putnam Park in October and so will he to my knowledge for the NASA HPDE event. Take it easy. And I think I like you calling me the motorsports master... it has a nice ring to it

New Evo owner Monticello just north of purdue.
Here is a pic of mine. It is a weekend, nice day car for me. I have been to Lafayette in the Evo a few times in the last couple months.

I heard of a Black one in town too.Pic of said Blue Evo from a town just north of Purdue.
