libertyville mitsu (IL)

hey guys i was jw if anyone had any experience with getting your car serviced at libertyville mitsubisihi. i bought my evo a schaumburg mitsu and will never go back, and libertyville mistu is the next closest. ive heard good things about max madsen in downers grove...but idk about libertyville. also i bought my car with an aftermarket bov on it, so im just afraid if i bring it in that might void my warranty? other than that the car is bone stock.

recently ive been throwing 0172 (system too rich) while just normal driving, and ive heard cleaning my maf and boost leak testing may fix the problem..but if it persists i may just take into the dealer and let them worry about it since im still under warranty. but id hate to bring it in and have them tell me my warranty is voided bc of a bov. also, wud a k&n drop in filter affect the warranty at all? thanks.

I drove there from elgin to look @ an evo 8 when i asked the dealer about a test drive he started to yell @ me and told me i was wasting his time and walked away from me. (the man i delt with was the sales manager also) personally i would avoid this place @ all costs.
I bought my IX @ schaumburg mitsu and i dont have any complaints...
I know this isnt really the info your looking for but that was my experience @ libertyville.

naw man that helps...itll keep me away from there haha. i just hate schaumburg bc they dont seem to know sh it there. i brought my car in once bc my check engine light was on and they said they didnt know wat was wrong with it? so im guessing they just disconnected my neg terminal to get rid of it. and even when i asked they still had no answer for me. are they atleast mod friendly?

Unsure if schamburg is mod friendly, I only went there to pick my car up and to have the 1000 mile inspection.

used to live near elgin but bought car at Schaumburg but I go to Biigger's, even now that I live in Palatine. The service manager is really nice to talk to and will help you w/ everything.

yea f'em

My rotors were getting some deep gashes, so i took the evo in just to make sure it wasnt a part of the caliper, Evo had less than 10,000k miles on it. They wanted $80 just to look at them even though it was under warranty. In the end they ruled it road debris and charged me the $80.

Libertyville Mitsubishi is really bad on sales, service & even parts.
Service - I had free maint for my evo 8 & had an appointment for just an oil change & tire rotation & took them 3 hours. Also when my evo 8's water pump leaked they asked me all kinds of questions if anybody else was in the car like modifying it cause they think that someone has removed my cam bolt due to markings.
Parts - My son locked the keys in the car & had to get one made but I had to go back 4 times for them to finally make the right one that works.
Sales - Trying to trade my evo 8 to evo 9 & told them what kind of payment I was looking for so they worked out the numbers & could not give me what I wanted & when I was ready to walk out the door the general manager came up to me & told me with an anger that he will not do that again for me. Funny cause I did not put a gun on his head to make him work that hard.
