Chicago roads, we all have to love how it goes from nice white fluffy snow to black sludgy goo that freezes into ice craters, how we get riddled with chunks of salt when the snow ACTUALLY melts and of course the random onset of the flurries making everyone drive as if their right foot was numb! Then you have the potholes to contend with and the worst thing to deal with, other people. We can help with it all, even when dealing with those untimely incidents that cause you to meet that one special person who decided that listening to crumpling sheet metal is better than a radio. For that last bit there, we can assist you very easily as we work with insurances and have the facilities and abilities to perform frame work, minor and extensive body repair along with customization.

Maintenance items are always the first thing to look into, but it's not only what is in your manual or book...YOU need to look for problems (probably the worst thing I can say in this thread). Yes, that's right, you need to know if your tires are in decent shape, how the brakes look, if there are any fluid or oil leaks or if any suspension components require attention. That's assuming that everything else is kept in check as well.

We all know, 60.00 oil changes, 20.00 tire rotations, 60-80 for mount and balance etc. HOWEVER, here are a couple things to HELP you get to where you need to go when the weather improves a bit!

Undercoating: This is a simple process but needs to be done right. Situations of over spray in the wrong places can be detrimental. The undercoating services are here because the undercoating that is on the chassis and supporting components can and will eventually wear away. The other part of it is that the factory does NOT equip the vehicles in a manner of coating the chassis throughout but only parts where the elements are seen the most. So what happens when that salt, muck and debris get into the crevices where no coating is applied??? Mother nature takes over to try and take her precious metal back.

Undercoating can vary in prices from 30.00-150.00, it's all done part of our estimate whenever the vehicle is racked up. Large vehicles can be up to 300 for an under-chassis coating. ALL COATINGS ARE GUARANTEED FOR 48 MONTHS!

Detailing: Many people don't know but it's ALWAYS a great decision to promote some sort of sealant on a paint prior to winter. What this means??? You need to clean and prep the paint properly for this to be achieved. This can turn out being 50.00-400.00 depending on the services that are rendered.

Wrapping and DIP: This is a fun way that you can add protection to your car, why? You can change the color of the car! Wrapping is the "cleaner" way of doing it per-say HOWEVER, DIP, that's becoming the number mod around. Vehicles vary between 400-800.00 for dip and between 1500-2200 for wrap depending on the vehicle.

- Wheels, body pieces or entire vehicles
- Prices vary on amount of coating required to cover vehicle along with varying tones or variances in color

Clear Bra: This is a great way to keep that pesky debris from damaging the car. Keeping the factory look, no change in color and the services provided (under new contractors) are warrantied for 3 years and carry a "color change guarantee". That means if the bra for any reason yellows it's replaced but since we don't use the typical 3M solution for the bra, we've never had an issue with coloring. Clear bra services vary between 500-1100 depending vehicle type and options.

FREE BATTERY TESTING ON ANY VEHCILE*

Now, lets not forget a few things...there are benefits of doing anything with a performance shop. One perk? We're always looking for new ways to help better the community and our clients.

One thing we've been dabbling in is consumption, yes, oil consumption problems that MANY people have and many don't even know they have it! Now, we're always trying to go somewhere new, try something different, make something easier or better. We've found something that has helped not only us but many clients and diy guys sustain oil levels. Built engines, factory engines, they can all suffer from this and the known causes can be a bit extreme for some people to deal with, however, there are options.

Choosing the right engine oil is also a big deal. The additive we've been using is great to use with N/A and turbo cars, DINO and Synthetic oils, built engine or factory engines and any series of internals or bearing types. We still utilize the AMSoil XL series engine oil for the general needs.

Moly E.P. Oil Treatment (#132) is a highly fortified extreme pressure engine oil treatment containing a highly specialized additive package. When used at the recommended treatment rate, this additive package provides the following performance benefits:

• Increased compression through better ring seal.
• A reduction in oil consumption.
• Elimination of sticking valves and lifters.
• Reduced blow-by.
• Increased oil pressure.
• A reduction in engine friction and wear.
• Increased power.
• Better viscosity control.
• Extreme pressure protection of the engine bearings, valve train, and pistons and piston rings.

We have a slew of clients who can also attest to this, having not only quieter operations in their built engines but also having a lessened oil consumption level. Knowing that your not running out of oil in a thousand miles (apparently 1 quart per thousand miles is okay?!) or by your next oil is well worth the piece of mind and few bucks added onto an oil change.

Can't get my mind off of hearing a service adviser saying that it's okay to burn up that much oil. 07+ Camry 4cyl engines are allowed to burn and consume a quart every 1000 miles, 7500 means 7.5 quarts...they take 4.6???

30/60/90K services

As everyone already knows we have the best bang for your buck deal when it comes to these services. Inclusive of compression tests, smoke tests (intake and EVAP systems) and a few complimentary products and services.

Remember, complete inspections (done as PPI type services) are standard with ANY SERVICE. Standard inspections are performed any time the vehicle is on the rack so that you know you're safe for road use.



Brake Services

For the brakes. We are very adamant on the up keep of this system. Most people don't realize that yes, brake fluid does degrade. The molecular structure of the fluid breaks down and water retention starts which eventually leads to water contaminating the brake fluid which leads into the absorption of debris and break down of the detergents which also leads to a possibility of failures in the hoses and seals of the brake system.

Get your brakes flushed every 30K or with an updated brake service to keep yourself out of harms way and possibly spending more down the road then you'd ever anticipate.



The new brake fluid of choice, we're always trying different products and new products, as it is with the severe "race" abused transmission gear lube we use (Liquid Moly - Lubro Moly), we've gone back to the German side for some brake fluid!

Fuel additives

Also, remember than when winter comes up, like it has, fuel consumption drastically reduces. A great way to help remedy that is the AMSoil P.I. Fuel system treatment!

Port Fuel Injector Deposits form after the engine has been shut down and there is no gasoline flowing through the injectors. During this “hot soak” period the injectors heat up and the gasoline remaining in the injectors degrades and forms deposits. This can happen very quickly with the use of poor quality gasoline and short trip driving. Because the clearances within the injectors are extremely tight and injectors must deliver precise amounts of “atomized” fuel, even small amounts of deposits can cause injectors to malfunction. Fuel flow is reduced and spray patterns are disrupted, decreasing engine efficiency, power and fuel economy, while increasing exhaust emissions.

Remember, rather than simply breaking everything apart like seafom (which also dries out the injectors) then needing to use a Lucas system to lubricate and clean up the residual you have a system that slowly "softens" the contaminants. This means that there is less of a chance for severe smoking and CEL's along with having the ease of only using one system! Carbon rap is the enemy of long life engine requirements.

*Recommended to perform fuel system cleaning BEFORE spark plug service is required as depending on the amount of contaminants the cleansing may cause the spark plugs to foul.

City driving and stop and go situations heighten the carbon build up so get your gas mileage back!
