Track events in/near Michigan?
 

I just moved up from Texas, where I used to go to Track Events at the Texas World Speedway. I had a great time in my Evo and was wondering if there were any events within a few hours of Detroit that I should know about. Anyone? Ideally I'd be looking for a High Performance Driving Event where an instructor rides shotgun, but solo is OK too.

There is a track near Grand Rapids, which would be about 2-3 hours away, that is Grattan raeway. There is also a track near South Haven which would be about 4 hours away, which is Gingerman raceway. Most of the schools I know of are held earlier in the season. As you know, we don't have the luxury you did in Texas of year round track use(safely).

Yeah, well we take the summers off actually... too many cars were blowing up..

Were you driving around by the Detroit zoo about two months ago with Texas plates still on your car?
