have you ever got your motor mounts replaced?

well my evo is in the shop today due to faulty motor mounts (i have no idea how this happened)

when i drove normally, no problems... but when i give it more gas, allowing the turbo to boost up, i hear quick repeating noises - more like knocking or clunking

the mechanic at the mitsu shop told me i need new motor mounts... i was surprised to hear that.

has anyone had this problem before?

Only really heard of that on front wheel drive cars due to bad wheel hop when launching.

A lot of times when im just doing normal city driving in my evo......I feel a lot of buckling back and forth with the engine for no reason. Just getting on and off the gas(smoothly) and it rocks back and forth sometimes. Wonder if i need new mounts soon??

Aftermarket mounts are in the works. I'm having a company custom make them now.

Soon, they will be available to everyone.

I'm still looking for mounts more adequate than the OE ones. They seem worn out at 42k of Zeus's foot

What are you talking about, never knew motor mounts had a hp rating Honestly I believe an item like this is really considered more wear and tear so our mounts will become less efficient with mileage.

whiteline makes a good engine mount as well as wheel hop, bump hop eliminating bushings.

call www.topspeedsales.com and talk to Jason. He'll talk your mouth off but he knows what he's talking about.
