Depending on the efficiency of your cooling system (air) the little stock turbo will fade to about 25. We have run this on pump gas all day long here with 93 octane. BUT the car has been tuned with an AEM EMS. The stock internals handle quite a bit of power. Much more than 20.5 psi from the stock turbo and safely now with 60,000 miles and counting.

in no way shape or form is it safe and or smart to run 33 psi on the stock turbo.

It seems to me that the stock injectors would have a hard time providing enough fuel at 33psi, even if it is only a spike.

If you disconnect the wastegate it will spike up and then it will blow or melt

disconnecting the vacuum line to the wastegate will only allow you to net around 11-12 psi max

^^^ True!! with my evc turned off I get only 11-12psi. It states in the Hks evc Manual that the boost will not fall lower than the factory wastegate actuator setting. You cant lower it past factory setting.

What he says is true... I've done it before too. Highest spike I've seen is 32psi, almost 33psi... so I'm sure 33psi is achievable. I've done this on stock injectors. Is it safe though? Depends on your tune, supporting mods, and what you consider safe.

Actually it is a boost line, not vacuum and if you disconnect it your turbo will overboost.

When EBCs are turned off it maintains the solenoid shut and directs all boost to open the wastegate.

if the car is tuned way too conservatively, and the engine isnt breathing in all the air efficiently it might be possible for the air to back up and create that much boost. I wouldnt consider it a good thing. the turbo can only put out so much CFM of air.

better to run a cool 19 psi with good timing, than a hot 30 with way retarded timing

With stock injectors it is in no way safe. NOR have I said that this is what everyone should do. The post was made to explain that the boost level you are running was safe enough for PUMP GAS. In no way did I say stock injectors. The stock injectors are good for about 24-25 psi max. And that would be for that momentary 1500 rpm that the turbo will spike.

You are correct. The stock injectors, and EMS would not handle such a level.
750cc and AEM EMS
