How are the stock pads on the track?

Pagid RS 14 are great (temp rating, friction coef, bite) but dusty.
Where are good sources for these pads? Most sites I've checked say "coming soon" or things to that effect...
I've got two track days at VIR at the end of the month, and I'm thinking I wont have any pads to go with!!!

wtz was posting on here earlier about his experience with his new EVO at Lime Rock using Pagid pads. He must have located some that were good fits for our calipers.

Has anyone upgraded their evo 8 pads yet? What did you go with? What do you think?

I only use Endless myself. I've tried them all but nothing else has come close.

We typically stock Pagid RS4 (blue) pads and Ferodo DS3000 pads for the front and rear of Evo's with Brembo brakes as well as the smaller 2 piston calipers that came on the RS cars. We currently do not have any front Brembo rotors in stock but will be getting some soon as well as a 2-piece rotor/mounting hat setup. Please email me for prices.

GtR, call or email Edwin Robinson of http://www.raceshopper.com/
. He has street and track pads for the evo 5/6/7/8 Brembo calipers. Excellent customer service. Cool Guy. I ordered a set of Hawk street pads from him. They should be in Jamaica by next week Monday. Will let you know how they work out.

I recommend the Ferodo DS3000 for track use. (he has them in stock).

EBC did not work on my street car (98 DSM AWD) at all, never mind my A/X car, overheated and died. Perhaps their latest iteration is good - I haven't tried it, but they certainly are good in that respect (all 6 of my motorcycles run EBC). I am currently using Porterfield R4S in my street car and Porterfield R4-1 in my autocross car (95 DSM AWD). If the R4-1s hold up even passably on the 95 I absolutely _WILL_ use them in my 98 for street duty - they are something else. R4S pads can bring Hoosier AS03 to lockup (with effort) no problem, although they do overheat and fade with excessive LFB. So far, R4-1s are significantly better under street conditions - I'll find out tomorrow (later today ?) how good they are under a/x conditions.

Sorry to revise an old thread, but I was wondering what are your experiences with brand pads these days? What brand would you recommend?
