where to buy helmet in Bay Area

Anyone in the Bay Area know of a store with good helmet selection in stock?

Unless you need the helmet right away, I would go to different shops, try on a few helmets, then order the best fitting helmet online. That's what I did when I was looking for motorcycle helmets, which can be used for auto-x or track days. Just as long as the helmet is DOT and Snell, it should be fine.

Don't get a motorcycle helmet for open tracking events. Many event organizers will not accept them.

For most of the track days that I've done, my Shoei motorcycle was fine. I think it's the lesser/cheaper brands don't cut it on the track. Which tracks don't accept motorcycle helmets, JIC?

It's not the tracks, it's the organizations. Here on the West coast, many won't.

Excellent helmets, especially the kevlar models.

If you ask nicely, they even give a racer's discount.

Good suggestion. They are nice folks, I bought a bell M3 from them a few years ago.
