well prices vary by region....and not everyone has access to a supplier...

Most guys out here are paying like $11-$12/gall...

 

That comes out to $1.49/gallon....

I find that hard to believe.....

 

yeah, thats really cheap(the 1.45 per gal...). you musta bought some low grade scientific crap.

that being said, 6-8 is epensive too. i can buy 5 gal drums in those aluminum cans for 23 bucks.

one thing I have noticed is that the people who have replied dont live in the Northeast....

like I said before and I will say it again and again till it sinks in.... prices vary by region, and the majority people I know of up here pay like $11/$12 a gallon, even vendors are paying that much and are contacting me for some supplies....

so if it makes you feel better by coming here and saying "thats too expensive" or "I pay .50 cents per gallon your prices are too much", then can you come up with a better solution for those of us who are paying more and help us out?

 

I live in the North east and yes,thoes prices are High,as everyone has posted.
There are alot of Go-Cart racing tracks up here and Methanol can easily be had there in small amounts and can be bought from several Home Heating oil companies in my area for less than $175.00 for 55 gallon drums(deposit included on drum) and we are talking either V/P meth or Power Mist Meth for those prices so I guess that Location,Location,Location has nothing to do with it.

 

I pay ~$5/gal directly from PowerMist. Their manufacturing plant is right there in Newton, NJ. Drive there and you don't even have to pay shipping. Its only like 1 1/2 hrs from NYC.

 

PURTY MUCH. don't start screaming at me because i mention you are trying to pull a fast one. Methanol comes from VP or powermist and it doesnt vary much by region at all.

 

Wait... VP Meth comes out to around like 2 or so a galon. THe only time you pay 11-12 is if you go to home depot and buy that gallon jug. Do a search for Vendors selling meth. Last one I checked was gonna be about 180 for the 55 drum. So thats around 3 a gallon,

 

true but when you drive there you do have to pay for the gas that goes in your car....not to mention time/tolls etc depending on where you are coming from...

Anyhow, I pulled my post here and will make my offer locally and by word of mouth. My intentions were to help people local to me who couldnt get this stuff that cheaply.

Then I get people from other states and other regions of the US coming in here ready to hang me...

 

I called VP last week, they told me ~$50 for a 5 gal can, plus ~$60 shipping. I don't know what the hell they're thinking. haha

 

Ok the 82 for the 55 gallon drum was from december 2004 but I called yesterday to see what it is now and they sell 55 gallon drums for about 2.25/gallon now. Technical products in broadview, IL 708-345-9215
