what's the deal with the EVO's fenders...?

i guess it's just the way they are cut, that you are always going to have about a 1" difference in the wheel gap between the front and rear...?

i guess you could go the coilover route, but then you'll end up with the nose too low and throw off the handling dynamics of the car...

anyway, i just installed the Eibach's from the EVO VII on the car, and it lowered it quite a bit... i'll take the measurements then to get the hard numbers...

overall the car still handles like stock, and the ride has not changed either... still stiff but it didn't get any stiffer, which i expected it to...

The car looks alot better IMO, but the bigger front wheel gap just bugs the **** outta me, but at least it's not 4" anymore...

i'll post some pics later this weekend, if i get a chance to wash her...

If you want the Eibach's contact Adam @ Z1auto.com or PM Z1Performance... and he'll hook you up... he got me the springs a day before i told him i had to have them...

I would love to see some pictures of this. Do you notice the fromt sitting lower in line with rear then you did with the stck springs? I love Eibach, but I think I may go H&R on this one not sure yet.

take some pictures man. I'm not into lowering cars for the most part. But I just want the look of a stock BMW / front and rear even with very little difference.

i'm looking into springs.. and i have the same problem with the difference from front to rear.. but i think this is normal for most cars today.. VW's and BMW's have the same thing... the only way to fix it is to get a spring set that lowers more in the front than the rear... or to get coilovers and set it perfectly where you want it.. but doesnt this screw up the balance of the car?...

also, how low is too low on the evo or any awd car for that matter? i've heard that lowering too much can have bad consequenses to the driveline of the car.. is this true?

i'm really interested in the h&r springs, since they lower 1.4 in the front and 1.3 in the rear.. might not be enough to offset the difference, but might make it a bit better..

i'm waiting for people to post pics of their results!..

thanks!

1.3 in the rear will tuck the rear wheel... i don't think you'll want that...

cause at a hair over 1" drop on my rear the wheel sits right in line with the fender...

i see how the fenders are cut on totally different lines, so i'll just live with it... with the drop it looks pretty decent now anyhow, and i'll soon have my le37t's... so i'll be set...

please take a picture!!

on my car it doesnt seem like 1.3" in the rear would tuck.. but i guess it depends what u mean by tucking.. i do like the specified 1.4" for the front especially, since that's my biggest issue...

btw, what were the specs on the drop for the eibachs?.. maybe i'll go with them, if it's enough of a drop...

thanks a lot for the help!

i dont care if it's dirty, we all know that cars do get dirty...

as a matter of fact, they are dirty more often than not!!

if your car stays clean more than a day after cleaning it, it's awesome!! almost a miracle!!
