Head unit / integrated dash

Trying to figure out how to remove head unit, and a little wary of removing screws that look like they are for the airbags... Anybody have luck pulling their head unit out? (ES, stock stereo, manual (in case you have to remove the center console and it matters)) Thanks much...

how to remove the headunit

ok here's what you do. On the passenger side of the car inside next to the door hinge pull out the plastic panel. It pulls out forward. Next open your gloce box and to the right side you see a silver screw. Unscrew and pull out panel held on by screw. Next to the right just under the silver trim piece is another screw holding on the silver piece. Remove screw and gently pull off the silver trim piece. Next look at the airbag lights in center console. there are 3 screw holding it on. Remove those screws and gently unclip the light cluster. Notice on the right side of the cluster is a small wire band. push up with a screw driver slightly on the black tabs on the either side and the wire should slide out. Lastly the panel holding the headunit just pops out so gently pull out form the bottom and presto there is the lovely stock headunit.
