Anyone measure the roof for a VG?

I highly doubt they match up, but has anyone measured their 08 roof and compared to the previous generations? I'd love to get a vortex generator if it would fit... The antenna might be an issue, but it is similar to the old style, so maybe it all fits?

I've been thinking about that as well, but I don't think a previous-gen VG will work on our roof. I know the antenna (especially if it has Sirius; I'm not sure if non-Sirius models have the bulge) is too big for the current VG.

I have a cutting wheel... I'll "alter" the antenna area...

Next time I hang out with a Lancer buddy, I think I'll measure the general roof area. I just hope it doesn't go flying off without the antenna to hold it down...

2008 roof is 2.5" wider. So that kinda kills the idea...

My Cheerios were pissed in as well.

My buddy joked that I should just buy it and hope the glue holds. I figured it'd fly off the first day. Hell, it's not like the antenna would hold it on, since they moved the damn thing for 2008...

Purpose. They add downforce.

Yes.

Also, some of us want them because they look cool. We're called ricers (yes, I admit it).

or, more importantly, power from the drivetrain going to the rear wheels.

Well, I have a wing on my car.

Really? So we need no downforce on the rear wheels?

I'm pretty sure that even FWD cars like to have traction out back. People with wingless Lancers have complained of their cars getting squirrely at high speeds.
